Mumbai, May 17: Salman Khan kept his promise. After all, even in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, he repeats his famous dialogue, “Ek baar jo maine commitment kardi toh phir mein apne aap ki bhi nahi sunta.” So, just like his promised, he had released his film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai on Eid i.e. on May 13 but on OTT platform ZEE5 owing to the Covid-19 situation. However, soon after the release, the film was leaked online. Naturally that left Salman angry.
His team has filed a written complaint with the Cyber Police in BKC in Mumbai after Radhe was leaked on pirated websites. An angry Salman also released a statement where he said that they “will get into trouble” if they watch Radhe “illegally.”
Salman on Radhe piracy
Before the film released, Salman had shared a video on Instagram where he had asked everyone to watch the film on the official OTT platform and not to indulge themselves in piracy. He said “Ek film banane mein bahot log bahot mehnat karte hain. Aur humein bahot dukh hota hai jab kuch log piracy karke ye film dekhte hain. Aap sabse ek commitment maangta hoon yefilm enjoy karein sahi platform pe. Toh Eid hog audience ka commitment. No piracy in entertainment”.
Now that Radhe has released and even leaked online, it has peeved the superstar. He took to Twitter and shared a statement where he said that illegal screening of Radhe on pirated websites is a “serious crime”. He wrote, “We offered you to watch our film Radhe at a reasonable price of INR 249 per view. Inspite of that pirated sites are streaming Radhe illegally which is a serious crime.”
Cyber Cell to take action
Salman has a strict warning for those involved in the Radhe piracy and said that the Cyber Cell will take action against them. He urged the audience to not “participate in piracy.”
“Please don’t participate in piracy or the Cyber Cell will take action against you as well. Please understand you will get into a lot of trouble with the Cyber Cell,” he said in a statement on Twitter.
Directed by Prabhu Deva, the film has been severely criticized for its sloppy screenplay, repetitive action and Salman’s same-old acting tricks. In fact, the very lead pair has been disappointing with Salman being 55 and Disha Patani of 28. The age gap was visible on screen and on their faces too. Radhe is everything, which we have seen before. The same-old action, done-till-death punch lines, cringe romance and Salman’s messiah avatar — no, Prabhadeva and Salman could not bring nothing new to the table.
However, despite bad reviews, Radhe – Your Most Wanted has collected approximately Rs. 38.82 lakhs on Day 3, reports Bollywood Hungama. This takes the three-day total to Rs. 1.2 crore.
